Proudly funded by the NSW Government
On 27 February 2018 Member for Wagga Wagga, Daryl Maguire announced that Snowy Valleys Council would receive one million dollars for construction of a new, state-of-the-art Library facility for Batlow from the NSW Stronger Country Communities Fund (SCCF).
Public consultation held in Batlow identified the need for an improved library facility that was fit-for-purpose for the medium to long term.
The new library facility will benefit a range of Batlow residents and visitors including children and youth, library users with mobility impairments, community groups, seasonal workers, library internet users, visitors and users of the Literary Institute hall.
Community members can now make comment on the concept plans for the new Library/Meeting Facility
This is a unique once-in-a-generation project that will benefit the whole community and we want to ensure the new library is a true community hub for Batlow
It is important to us that we gain a good understanding of future-use opportunities and identify what is needed to meet accessibility requirements of the community.
Review the floor plan and the artists impressions of the facade (there are four options) and then have your say on the future Batlow Library/Meeting Facility in a number of ways:
