Tumut primary school students will be treated to a live performance by Australia's most loved narrator of audio books for children and young adults next week.

Stig Wemyss will appear at Tumut's Montreal Community Theatre next Tuesday 14 November to delight his young audience with a vibrant and high energy show.

Council is hosting the performance to promote both the power of storytelling for children and the local libraries including the library's digital app Borrowbox.

Stig Wemyss is an award-winning audiobook narrator, best known as the narrator of Andy Griffiths’ bestselling Treehouse series. His vibrant and high energy live shows have become well-known throughout Australia and New Zealand in schools and libraries. He has a background in acting starring in numerous TV shows, feature films and live theatre productions. Stig’s experience brings a unique and dynamic energy to performances.

The show runs for an hour and includes games, prizes and lots of opportunities for the audience to interact with the performance.

Students are encouraged to bring along their most loved Treehouse book to have autographed at the end of the show.
