Give the gift of Christmas all year round with a membership to the Toy Library Tumbarumba!

The Toy Library, located in the RTC Building in Tumbarumba is having a ‘come and see’ day from 9am to midday on Friday, 7 December to show off its range of toys carefully selected to keep the two to five year old in your life busy.

Families who become members on the day are able to borrow toys immediately by filling out the forms and paying the $20 annual membership fee.

“Between the age of two and five, toys can play a big part in supporting their development and imagination but their interests also change quickly as they grow,” said Tracy Wiggins, Council’s Divisional Manager for Community Services. “At the toy library you’ll find educational toys and resources that are age appropriate, promote learning and are fun.

“We have puzzles and games to enhance cognitive skills, lego that promotes construction and fine motor, everyday language and numeracy games and dress up and play props for children to use in pretend play. We even have a range of outdoor  equipment available.”

The Toy Library aims to ensure all children have access to age appropriate toys and resources to support their learning and development.

To reach families right across the Snowy Valleys area, the Toy Library can deliver the resources to drop off points, you just have to ask the friendly staff.

“For just $20 toy library membership is a great way to introduce children to new toys as they grow and learn -without breaking the bank or the storage cupboards in your home!” said Ms Wiggins.
