Local businesses are invited to become official sponsors of the Tumut Youth Council’s colour fun run event.

Tumut Youth Council is teaming up with the Gotcha4Life Foundation to raise funds and awareness around mental health by hosting an all ages, family friendly colour fun run.

“The Tumut Youth Council is keen to work with local business in supporting their fundraising event and in turn are offering some excellent sponsorship opportunities,” said Council’s Acting Director of Strategy, Community and Development Phil Stone.  “Sponsorship benefits on offer include naming rights to one or more of the individual colour stations”.

Planned for Saturday 6 April, 2019 the Fun Run is a 4.5km, un-timed event, in which participants or “Colour Runners”, are doused from head to toe in different colours whilst passing through colour stations along the designated course.

With no winners or official times, the fun run caters to everyone—first time runners to seasoned athletes, young and old(er).

“It is all about having the most fun possible whilst being active, and all proceeds raised go to a great cause,” Mr Stone said.

Businesses interested in sponsoring the event can contact Council’s Youth Development Officer, Mark Mazzini on 0428 385 348 or email [email protected]sw.gov.au.
