Council allows some grounds and buildings to be used for annual events such as Festivals, Regional Gala Days etc.
An annual event is defined as an event that occurs around a similar time (be it specific date, month or season) that provides significant benefits to the community, and as such these events will take precedence over all other bookings, including seasonal bookings.
In regards to annual events, affected clubs will be notified of any annual event on their ground prior to an agreement being finalised.
Please note: organisations planning to hold festivals or events at a sports ground, open-space or public facility need to be aware that specific restrictions can apply to insurance cover. This relates to jumping castles and barbecues etc. Standard sports club insurance does not always cover festivals or open days.
