NSW Electoral Commission
The NSW Electoral Commission are legislated to conduct, regulate and report on elections on behalf of the people of New South Wales.
They have a responsibility to provide electoral services that are relevant, accessible and inclusive to help all eligible voters understand and participate in the democratic process.
There are 128 local government councils in NSW. Each council represents a local government area. The NSW Electoral Commission will be conducting the elections for 126 councils on Saturday, 14 September 2024 for the election of Councillors.
Snowy Valleys Council has engaged the NSW Electoral Commissioner to administer its elections on Saturday, 14 September 2024. Voting is compulsory at all NSW local government elections except for council polls.
