The Tumbarumba Youth Council was established to help young people (12 -25 years) gain a better understanding of Local Government and to improve communications between young people, Council, and the community.
Ideas, opinions and needs of Tumbarumba’s youth are openly received and acknowledged by the wider community, raising the status of youth, and portraying a more positive image.
Youth Council members meet once a month and take part in many community events throughout the year.
Nominations for membership to the Youth Council are called annually in February/March and young people aged between 12 & 25 living anywhere within the area are invited to nominate for the Youth Council.
