Council has been working with local artists, businesses and sporting groups to develop a diverse range of activities to keep young adults busy, sociable and active.

Program line-up:

Xbox Tournament & Movie Night, Batlow Literary Institute

Batlow interact will be opening the doors of Batlow Literary Institute to host a Xbox tournament. If you fancy your skills on Fifa or Halo or are just looking at having a fun day with like-minded people then head down for a great time. As the day draws to a close the xboxes will turn off and the Literary Institute will be transformed into a cinema to show a movie.

Wagga Bus Trip - Laser Tag and Aquatic Centre

Looking for an action packed day of fun? Join us on a bus trip to Wagga where we will enjoy 3 games of Laser tag before cooling off with a swim @Oasis Aquatic Centre

  • Location: Depart 8.30am County link Stop, (Russell St) Tumut & 9.30am Countrylink stop,(Union Lane) Tumbarumba. Returning 4.30pm into Tumbarumba & 5.30 pm into Tumut

Laser tag is as fun as it sounds!! Prepare to get your legs moving and your heart rate pumping as you manoeuvre through the arena, hunting as a pack, breaking up into small groups or going for the lone wolf approach. The darkness will act like your friend to hide you, but even the dim lighting won't stop the brightly coloured LED lights on your packs and weapons showing you exactly where everyone stands. You will get caught up in the moment and you will feel more than a little pride in hearing that you got the top score or that your team won.

It is recommended that all participants pack a drink bottle and lunch or bring some money to purchase refreshments (Lunch is not provided). All participants are also required to wear suitable footwear and pack a towel and change of clothes.

Athletics Games Day - Tumbarumba Little Athletics Club

Tumbarumba Little Athletics Club will be opening their doors and holding a free fun athletic games day for those aged between 4 &16 years old. Whether you are looking for something to do during the holidays or have thought about joining Little Athletics, then why not head down and enjoy this free event.

Tumbarumba Mountain bike trail (MTB) Rides

Spring is here! What better time to ride your mountain bike on trails in Tumbarumba.

Ride on the best MTB trails in Tumbarumba with experienced local guide and MTB rider Peter Marshall and Cycle Tumbarumba members. The day will be devoted to riding on specially designed Mountain Bike (MTB) Trails in Tumbarumba

Participants are required to bring their own bike, helmet and appropriate bike riding apparel, riding gloves are also preferable.

  • Date: Thursday 10 October 2019
  • Location: Tumbarumba.  A bus from Tumut to Tumbarumba return will be organised through Ground Up Tumut
  • Time: 10am to 2pm
  • Ages: 12yrs+
  • Cost: $10 per rider + MTBA membership. Participants will need to have a current MTBA membership or purchase a day membership on the day, cost of $7. By purchasing a day membership all participants will be covered under MTBA insurance and liability.

RFS Open Day – Bull Paddock, Tumut

Have you ever thought about joining the RFS, SES or another emergency service, or just think checking out a fire truck and emergency vehicles would be cool? Then head down to the Bull paddock for a Emergency services open day and BBQ.

Redi to Eat Food Sculpturing

If you are looking most fun engaging activity these holidays then don’t miss out on our Redi to Eat Food workshop.

Not only will you develop nutritional knowledge and food handling skills, you will have an absolute blast participating in our blind fruit tasting and fruit & vegetable sculpting competitions.

This awesome activity is not only free, but you will have opportunity to win some cool prizes throughout the competitions.
