Friday 11 January - Movie & Pizza Night, NEST Tumbarumba 5pm – 8pm

Café Nest will be opening the doors to the cinema, providing a free Pizza night and a movies experience. For the cost of $10 participants will watch a movie (Lean on Pete) on the big screen and Snowy Valleys Council will shout a free pizza to each ticket holder to dine on before enjoying the film.

Tuesday 15 January - Basketball, Tumbarumba skate park, 1pm to 3pm

Looking to stay active these holidays or kill the boredom? Then join Tumbarumba Youth Council who will be hosting a friendly basketball competition at Tumbarumba Skate Park. Teams will be organised on the day with games being 3 on 3 and 5 a side. Games are open to all playing ability and for ages 10+.  

Cost: Free

Wednesday 16 January - Sweets Workshop, Kats Whiskers 3.30pm – 5pm

Kat’s Whiskers Café will be running a fun workshop whilst teaching young people basic food handling, cooking and baking skills. For a low price of $10 participants will get the opportunity to learn from Café owner Clara Packard how to decorate cupcakes and bake delicious cookies.

Thursday 17 January - Bike Ride, Meeting Point Rotary Pioneer Park 8am - 10am

SVC Youth Development Officer and local business owner/cycling enthusiast Michelle Rossiter will be facilitating a community bike ride. Meeting at Rotary Pioneer Park, riders will ride supervised down along the river walk and wetlands path, returning on the same pathway and completing a lap of the Bull paddock loop.

The ride is being held to promote healthy lifestyle to youth. Upon the ride finishing, riders will be provided a light healthy brunch, promoting exercise & healthy eating.

All riders must possess a good riding ability and be aged 12+. Any rider under the age of 12 must be in the company of their parent/carer or delegated responsible adult for the duration of the ride.

Saturday 19 January -  Once Upon a Deadpool, Montreal Theatre Tumut, 7.30pm to 9.30pm

The Montreal will be holding a Youth Movie Night, airing the new release PG rated Once Upon a Deadpool. The movie is a tamed down version of Deadpool 2 with 20 minutes of new content, so families and especially kids, can finally see the movie.

Wednesday 23 January -  Yoga Stretching and breathing workshop, Wenoma Studio Tumbarumba, 10am to 11am

Local Yoga instructor Carmen will be hosting a children’s stretching and breathing workshop.Children derive enormous benefits from yoga. Physically, it enhances their flexibility, strength, coordination, and body awareness. In addition, their concentration and sense of calmness and relaxation improves. Places are very limited and bookings essential

Wednesday 23 January - CrossFit, Mcmahon Method, 11.30am to 12.30pm

Mcmahon Method will be opening their doors running a teenage CrossFit session of all fitness levels and experiences. The session is being held to promote healthy active lifestyle to youth across the region whilst providing an aerobic workout for participants.

Friday 25 January - Khancoban Moonlight Movie Night, Alpine Inn Khancoban, 8pm

Alpine Inn Khancoban will be hosting a community movie night on the grounds of the Alpine Inn. Movie theme will be Australiana (Movie title TBA).

Saturday 26 January – Australia Day Pool Party  2pm – 6pm

The popular Australia Day pool parties at back in 2019! At Batlow, Adelong, Khancoban, Tumbarumba and Tumut pools from 2pm to 6pm.

Participants can enjoy free entry, BBQ and fun activities like thong throwing competitions in celebration of Australia Day.
