Council has launched a new council e-newsletter as another channel to help residents stay up to date with works, projects, and consultation opportunities.

Mayor Ian Chaffey has welcomed the new venture and encouraged email subscribers to share the news with family, friends and neighbors.

“I am pleased to see this new communications initiative introduced to help increase opportunities for the community to learn more about what’s happening at Council,” Cr Chaffey said.

Delivered fortnightly directly to subscribers via email, hard copies are also being made available at Council’s customer service counters, libraries, childcare facilities and the MSO to ensure those without email access can also stay informed.

The newsletter is presented in an easy to read, printable format containing up to six short news stories about the operations of Council.

It will be distributed via email and to all Council locations every second Thursday.

People can sign up to receive the Council News at www.svc.nsw.gov.au/newsletter
