Council Pool Jobs Open For Another Season

Applications are now open to work on a casual basis for the upcoming pool season across pools at Batlow, Adelong, Khancoban, Tumut and Tumbarumba.

Snowy Valleys Council is looking for qualified and passionate people to work at the local pools over the 2024/25 summer pool season as junior, senior and supervising lifeguards and swimming instructors.

A senior person to take on the position of Pool Supervisor for each pool, except Khancoban, is also being sought to oversee all pool activities and pool staff.

Essential criteria for the Pool Coordinator role include a Certificate III in Aquatics and Community Recreation or equivalent five years minimum skills and experience.

Lifeguards will require a current First Aid Certificate, among other requirements and swim instructors should have Austswim Instructor or Pool Lifeguard qualifications.

All applicants must be available to work weekends and during pool opening hours and can complete a swimming and lifesaver assessment prior to employment.

Council has also issued an expression of interest for a suitable operator to manage and operate the Adelong Pool on council’s behalf for the 2024/2025 and 2025/2026 seasons. The lodgement of EOI Proposals is via Tenderlink and close on 23 September 2024.
