A free bus service is being offered to Brungle and Talbingo communities to attend the GATHER event in Tumut on Friday 27 November.

The Tumut GATHER event is the third of four events Council is hosting with support from the Murrumbidgee Primary Health Network and the National Bushfire Recovery Agency to bring communities together in a year where social activities have been limited.

Mayor James Hayes said the GATHERS are about friends and community celebrating the good things, while also providing a space to get some emotional support; a space to talk, to listen and to connect.

“The free bus service is an opportunity for Brungle and Talbingo residents to join us at the Tumut Gather celebrations and enjoy some well-deserved down time in a safe space”, said Cr Hayes.

The Brungle bus will depart from the Brungle Health and Community Centre at 4:15pm, and the Talbingo bus will depart from the Talbingo Supermarket at 4:15pm. Buses will return to their respective towns when the event finishes at 9.00pm.

Due to COVID restrictions and regulations seats are limited and bookings are essential.  Bookings can be made in person at the Tumut Region Visitor Information Centre or by phoning (02) 6947 7025.
