Snowy Valleys Council in partnership with Regional Development Australia (RDA) are pleased to present two ‘introduction to grant writing’ workshops.

Being held in March in both Tumut and Tumbarumba the workshops will be facilitated by RDA Riverina’s Marg Couch who has a wealth of knowledge and experience in applying for funding and helping others to complete grant applications.

Snowy Valleys Council’s Acting Director of Strategy, Community and Development Phil Stone said the workshops are ideal for anyone looking to discover how to succeed in applying for funds.

“These workshops will suit community organisations, committees and individuals who may be thinking about seeking any type of funding and looking for guidance in the grant writing process,” Mr Stone said.

Local Business owners are also encouraged to take advantage of the workshop opportunities.

“Council is committed to helping our small business community to grow their market share, so I would encourage any small business owner who would like to understand how to seek government support for a new initiative to attend these workshops,” Mr Stone said.

Sessions are only $10 per person and include a light dinner and refreshments.

“This is a great opportunity to advance your skills, learn about common pitfalls and identify your strengths to help make your application stand out from the crowd,” Mr Stone said.

“Places are limited to 20 people per session so we recommend you book early to avoid disappointment”.
