Local Seniors to be Celebrated with Dedicated Seniors Expo

Seniors from across the Snowy Valleys area are invited to enjoy a free day out at the Snowy Valleys Seniors Expo on Wednesday 8 February at the Valmar Auditorium in Tumut.

Snowy Valleys Council is partnering with Valmar Support Services to host a Seniors Expo in February as part of the NSW Seniors Festival.

Attendees can enjoy a sit-down luncheon, live musical entertainment, and the opportunity to connect with a range of organisations and local services ready to help and support seniors living in the Snowy Valleys region.

Free return coach travel will be available from Tumbarumba, Batlow and Adelong to ensure as many people as possible are able to attend.

Seniors interested in coming along are asked to RSVP as the first part of the Expo, from 10.00am to 12.30pm, which includes lunch and musical entertainment, will only be available to those who book.

Doors will open for casual drop-ins from 12.30pm to 2.30pm. 

Exhibitors at the Expo will include Legal Aid NSW, Meals on Wheels NSW, Mental Health Drug & Alcohol Services, MLHD Health Promotion Team, Murrumbidgee Mental Health, Murrumbidgee Primary Health Network, NSW Police, NSW Trustee & Guardian, Open Mobility, Riverina Murray Support at Home Program, Seniors Rights, Service Australia, Service NSW, Smooth Movers, SVC Community Services, The Forrest Centre, The Salvation Army Australia Territory, Transport for NSW, Tumut Bush Walker Group and Valmar Support Services.

The NSW Seniors Festival is the largest festival for people over 60 in the Southern Hemisphere, attracting up to 500,000 seniors across the State to events. NSW Seniors Festival is presented by the Department of Family and Community Services.
