Seniors Festival 2021 Expo

Snowy Valleys Council is partnering with Murrumbidgee Local Health District and the NSW Energy and Water Ombudsman to host a number of events across the region in celebration of NSW Seniors Festival.

One of the key activities is a Seniors Expo being held at the Tumbarumba RSL Hall on Tuesday 20th April.

Seniors can connect with the Energy & Water Ombudsman NSW for information on high energy bills, affordability, finding the best retailer and energy saving tips. A range of other organisations will also be on hand to help with emergency relief, healthcare issues, legal information, seniors’ rights, Service NSW, Services Australia and more.

Council has arranged free return bus transport for the day with pick-ups scheduled in Tumut, Adelong, Batlow and Tumbarumba.

Before heading to the Expo the bus will take everyone out to Glenroy to enjoy a free morning tea and tour of the Glenroy Heritage reserve.

The bus will then return to Tumbarumba for lunch at the RSL Hall where attendees can access a range of local support services at the Seniors Expo.  There will also be a screening of Ronnie’s Resilience Road Show.

Bookings for the bus are essential. Call (02) 6948 9161 or email: [email protected]

Drop-ins to the Expo are also welcome but please RSVP to ensure covid safe numbers can be maintained.
