Boil Water Alert

Tumbarumba Boil Water Notice LIFTED
The Precautionary Boil Water Alert (BWA) for Tumbarumba residentshas been lifted effective from 22 February 2019 at 4.30pm.
Elevated turbidity levels were detected in the local water supply and a precautionary boil water notice was placed in effect. Council and NSW Health are now confident that there was no public health concern.
Residents are advised that some water discolouration may be experienced as Council continues flushing its water hydrants to refresh the system. The flushing process occasionally disturbs existing sediments within the pipes which may cause dirty water to initially flow through your taps. If you experience this please let the water run until it runs clear. Should you experience continued dirty water, please contact Council on 1300 ASK SVC and we will send out a crew to check the system.
Council will continue to work closely with Public Works Advisory (PWA) and NSW Health to monitor and review the treatment process. Council’s water quality monitoring program remains in place to ensure the safety of Council’s water supply.
We thank the Tumbarumba residents for their patience and understanding with this matter.
If you have any concerns with the water supply system , please contact Council on 1300 ASK SVC (1300 275 782) or email [email protected]
