Building & Planning

What Approvals Do I Need?

There are lots of things for you to consider before you start any building or development work on your property

Development Application (DA)

Learn more about what information you'll need to have before lodging a Development Application, estimating the fees & charges involved and how the approval process works

Planning

Decisions about development in the Snowy Valleys are influenced by State and local planning legislation, strategies, controls and policies

Rebuilding After Bushfire

For many the next step in the bushfire recovery journey is building your new home. The rebuilding process can be daunting and to achieve a streamlined, fast development process we offer the following advice.

Bushfire Prone Land Mapping Tool

The bush fire prone land online mapping tool has been created using NSW Council’s bush fire prone maps and is designed to identify if your property is designated as bush fire prone.

Local Strategic Planning Statement

The Local Strategic Planning Statement sets clear local priorities for employment, housing, services and infrastructure that the Snowy Valleys communities will require over the next 20 years.
