Rubbish & Recycling

Council is committed to actively supporting our community to reduce waste sent to landfill through reducing, reusing, recycling and generally disposing of waste responsibly.

Find everything below about Council's household waste services, collection schedules, guidelines for your three coloured bins, Resource Recovery Centres and Digital Waste Vouchers.

Resource Recovery Centres

SVC has six Resource Recovery Centres across the region; find out where they are, their operating hours, and any fees and charges required.

What Goes In My Bin

We have a three-bin system (organics, recycling and general waste) that all work together to create a sustainable waste service for our residents.

Collection Service

Find out about our weekly waste collection – including when to put out your bins for collection, and tips to help make collections faster and safer for our drivers.

Digital Vouchers

Seasonal Waste Vouchers and FOGO Bag Voucher now available via the SVC Waste App - click here to learn more.

Recycling

There are many options to help you recycle, repurpose and reuse materials in the Snowy Valleys. Click here to find out what, where and how to recycle right.

Return & Earn

Return and Earn helps to reduce the 160 million drink containers littered in our environment each year. Drink containers make up almost half of the volume of litter in NSW.. Find out where in the Snowy Valleys you can 'return and earn'.
