Community Recycling Stations

The free and easy solution for the disposal of small household batteries, ink cartridges, mobile phones, and smoke detectors. The CRC Small Drop-Off Stations are conveniently located for easy community access at local Libraries and the RRC in Khancoban

Green Caffeen

Green Caffeen is a swap and go reusable coffee cup system offered to local businesses in the Snowy Valleys to reduce single-use coffee cups.Council has teamed up with Green Caffeen to provide participating cafes with reusable cups as an alternative to disposable single-use cups.

Recycling Agvet Chemical Containers

DrumMUSTER is the national program for the collection and recycling of empty, cleaned, non-returnable crop production and on-farm animal health chemical containers. Council RRCs at Adelong, Batlow, Khancoban, Tumbarumba and Tumut are accredited facilities.

Recycling Silage Wrap

Recycling your farm silage wrap is a sustainable and legal alternative to burying the plastic on your land. Local land owners can recycle silage wrap for free at Resource Recovery Centres in Adelong, Batlow, Khancoban, Talbingo, Tumbarumba and Tumut.

Return & Earn

Return and Earn helps to reduce the 160 million drink containers littered in our environment each year. Drink containers make up almost half of the volume of litter in NSW.. Find out where in the Snowy Valleys you can 'return and earn'.
