Your Councillors

Snowy Valleys Council is made up of nine publicly elected Councillors. The Council elected at the 4 December 2021 elections will serve for a shortened 3-year term*

How Council Works

Council is responsible for looking after public facilities and providing community services across the Snowy Valleys

Snowy Valleys Council is a proud member of the Canberra Region Joint Organisation (CRJO). The vision of the CRJO is ‘working together to deliver better outcomes for our communities and the region’.

Demerger Consideration

Council has voted to explore options for a demerger - into the former areas of Tumut and Tumbarumba - and follow the process set out in section 218CC of the Local Government Act.
