Khancoban Preschool

Funded under the NSW Government ‘Start Strong’ initiative, Khancoban Preschool provides education and care for children aged 3 to 5 years of age.  

Khancoban preschool provides an early childhood education program in accordance with The Early Years Learning Framework providing play-based early childhood education for children aged 3 to 5 years with the flexibility of providing casual positions to 2-year old’s.

Hours of Operation 

Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday  8.30am – 4.15pm following Victorian school holidays only and closed for NSW public holidays.

 Statement of Philosophy

The staff at Khancoban Preschool are committed to providing a warm, caring and positive environment for all involved with the service. This ensures that the children are able to develop at their own pace, gaining potential independence and positive self-esteem, thus helping them to reach their full potential.

An individual program, based on the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) assists in providing high-quality care and learning according to each developmental outcome, children’s interest and strengths as well as a flexible environment for staff to develop with.

Our staff reflects the actions and behaviours illustrated in the Early Childhood Australia Code of Ethics. They are active in building a strong partnership with parents regarding the ongoing care, nurturing and education of their children. Active involvement by parents is encouraged to allow transition from home to the centre to be as smooth as possible. Staff and parents are also encourages to keep each other informed of the children’s progress.
