Cr Hansie Armour is a wife and mother of a farming family giving her direct understanding of the needs of and pressures on local families
Hansie is a Director/Secretary of three companies and the chair of the Local Health Advisory Group. She is an owner/operator retailer for over 40 years and has a depth of knowledge of commercial issues and the needs of the local community, Council’s customer.
Hansie has developed a solid understanding of governance and ethical matters, possesses strong negotiation skills, and is well versed in working collaboratively with her peers and community members.
She is also a Rotarian, with 24 years of service and recipient of a Paul Harris Award.
Cr Amour says she will continue to work for:
- Open council meetings, discussion, and debate
- Relevant and quality core services
- The wellbeing of our staff
- The respect from our communities, something we deserve as the shareholders in this multi-million-dollar company
- Recognition of the many active and energetic people in our region who have a strong social conscience and who are continually working to grow our community.
