Khancoban Long Lunch Tickets Go On Sale

Snowy Valleys visitors and locals are invited to enjoy a long, lazy afternoon lunch in Khancoban with catering provided by Pickled Parrot Providore, delivering a delicious menu incorporating the region’s 100km food bowl.

Snowy Valleys Council will celebrate Spring in Khancoban this year with the hosting of a Long Lunch event this September.

The Khancoban Long Lunch will be held on Saturday 17th September from 11am to 3pm with tickets going on sale this week.

Attendees will enjoy a gourmet entree, main and dessert along with a local cool climate wine on arrival in a relaxed alfresco setting.

The lunch will showcase local produce and feature local wineries, cider beer and gin, highlighting the incredible supply the region has to offer. The event will also feature local live musical entertainment.

The long lunch concept has been developed to promote the local area and attract visitors back to the Snowy Valleys.

The 2019/20 Black Summer bushfires decimated nearby local attractions that had been drivers for visitation, including Mt Selwyn snowfield, nearby towns Batlow, Tooma and Tumbarumba and cross border communities including Corryong.

Council will also run buses from Tumbarumba and Corryong Buses which people can book for alongside their Khancoban Long Lunch ticket.

Council received funding from the Commonwealth of Australia’s Australian Trade and Investment Commission to host the event which was postponed in 2021 due to Covid.

The event is for 18+ only and places are limited, so secure your spot now.
