Council Celebrates October Small Business Month

Small Business Month is just around the corner, and Snowy Valleys Council is pleased to be hosting a lineup of free events aimed at supporting the local economy and small business owners.

Council will host a range of free online webinars during October covering themes of managing change, resilience, harnessing Analytics and AI for success, and optimising digital tourism profiles.

An in-person half-day workshop will also be held in Tumut presented by Tourism Tribe where participants will learn about smart business tools for tourism, streamlining email marketing, automation basics, boosting tourism growth through online reputation management, and a business support Q+A.

A number of other workshops and webinars are also being hosted in support of small businesses including a two-day Business Bootcamp put on by the Tumbarumba Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the Australian Business Volunteers and a workshop and networking event to be held at the end of October organised by Business Snowy Valleys.

Destination Riverina Murray are presenting webinars on writing tourism grant applications and tourism business plans, and the Rural Financial Counselling Service will hold an in-person workshop at the Tumut Golf Club on navigating farming and small business hazards.

  • WORKSHOP - WEDNESDAY 18 OCTOBER - 10am to 1pm: TOURISM BUSINESS SKILLS 

    Presented by Tourism Tribe, a half-day workshop, held at the Tumut River Brewing Co covering all things tourism. Topics will include smart business tools for tourism, streamlining your email marketing, automation basics, boosting tourism growth through online reputation management and a business support Q+A.

  • WEBINAR - THURSDAY 19 OCTOBER at 5:30pm: SETTING UP ATDW PROFILES FOR SUCCESS
