Council Spotlights Quarter Four Achivements

The 2022/23 Forth Quarter report was formally presented during the August Council Meeting, spotlighting the organisation's activities and accomplishments from April 1st to June 30th, 2023.
Key highlights included:
- Improvement works completed to widen and upgrade a narrow section of hilly terrain along Brungle Road to improve driver safety
- A section of the Tumut Riverwalk was widened to enable better accessibility for walkers, cyclists and mobility vehicles.
- 90% of the safety improvement works on Brindabella Road between the Goodradigbee River and Piccadilly Circus have been completed.
- 60 tonnes of burnt fencing material was collected under the NDE Environment Protection Authority’s FenceCycle Program.
- 20 residential DAs, 34 CCs, and 117 Planning Certificates were processed through our Growth and Development department.
- Over 1,200 residents used their waste vouchers helping us to sort and reduce waste to landfill
- Heavy Patching works were delivered on Batlow and Tumbarumba Roads
