Council Talks Demerger Options with Minister

Snowy Valleys Council Mayor Ian Chaffey met last week with the Minister for Local Government Wendy Tuckerman to seek clarification on the process for a council demerger.

“We had a good discussion and Minister Tuckerman has indicated a way forward,” Cr Chaffey said.

“The issue was clarified that a new business case must be prepared by Snowy Valleys Council.

“Council has resolved on this course of action, and we will now begin the business case development process.”
