A new community survey is set to gauge community satisfaction with Snowy Valleys Council’s services and facilities.

The telephone survey will ask residents to have their say on everything from waste collection to swimming pools, as well as their interactions with Councillors, staff and management.

Independent researcher Taverner Research Group will conduct the phone survey on behalf of Council from 22 April to mid May 2024.

Approximately 400 residents will be randomly selected to take part in the survey.

Phone calls will be carried out between 4pm and 8.30pm weekdays and 10am to 4pm on weekends.

Locals should watch out for a call from phone number (02) 9194 0715 if they would like to be involved and have their opinions heard.

There is also an online survey that people can access independently via council’s website which will go live on 22 April.

Results from the survey will be benchmarked against results obtained from previous Customer Satisfaction Surveys.

The survey results are used to inform and improve operational decision making as well as to meet reporting obligations as part of Council’s Integrated Planning and Reporting framework.

Council’s most recent Community Satisfaction Survey was conducted in 2021. Results of this year’s survey are expected to be available in June/July 2024.
