Snowy Valleys Council in conjunction with the NSW Office of Environment and Heritage are inviting local small business owners and staff to attend a free Energy Management Basics for Small Business workshop.

The one hour workshop will be held at Harriet House in Tumut on Thursday April 4th at 12.30pm. Attendees will be given practical advice on how to analyse energy bills, understand how their business uses energy and how to identify energy saving opportunities.

Additionally, one local business will have the opportunity to have an on-site visit from an energy expert to provide personalised advice.

Council’s Acting Director of Strategy, Community and Development Phil Stone says this is part of Council’s ongoing commitment to working collaboratively with local businesses to assist them with access to practical training on issues that affect the day to day running of their businesses.

“Council recognises the importance of small businesses in the local economy and knows that energy costs are an issue of increasing importance for many,” Mr Stone said.  “I would encourage any small business owner who would like to understand how to harness their energy usage and learn how to access resources and funding opportunities to attend”.

This is free service funded by the NSW Government.
