Expressions Of Interest Open to Participate in Bloom Festival
Published on 14 August 2024
Local artists, creatives, culinary experts and beverage providers are invited to apply to be part of the upcoming on-street festival, Bloom Snowy Valleys.
Snowy Valleys Council is calling for expressions of interest (EOI) from locals to contribute to the festival with applications open until 30 August.
Complete with live performances, cultural activities, creative installations, interactive light features, and dedicated food and drink areas, Bloom is set to be a vibrant on-street event and council is keen to have local artisans and food provedores be part of the experience.
The free event is being held on Saturday 26 October 2024 from 5pm to 10pm at Elm Drive, Tumut, and Council will run free buses to and from Khancoban, Tumbarumba, Batlow, Adelong, Talbingo, Gundagai and Brungle to allow the wider Snowy Valleys communities to join the fun.
Council received $150,000 in funding through the NSW Government’s Open Streets Program, delivered by Transport for NSW, and is teaming up with Business Snowy Valleys to host the vibrant on-street festival.
Festival organisers have already secured several key entertainment highlights including large-scale lantern installations and lantern-making workshops by The Lanternist in conjunction with the Lanterns on the Lagoon team, artist installations and workshops by Sculptures by the Sea (Snowy Valleys Sculpture Trail) and a unique interactive musical installation by audio engineer and lighting designer Adam Boon with his Crazy Big Theremin.
Expressions of interest are now open for local art installation, workshop and activity providers, food and beverage providers, local performers, and anyone interested in volunteering at the event to join this exciting lineup.
