Snowy Valleys Council is encouraging kids to stay active and warm these winter school holidays with a packed program of free fitness and creative activities across the region.

In partnership with local fitness providers, Council is offering a series of free boxing, fitness, dance, and yoga classes for children and teens aged 5 to 18 years.

The program will be delivered by Off Grid Fitness, Champ Fitness, Blue Bird Healing and Dance with Charlee, with sessions designed to suit all abilities and experience levels.

“These sessions are about getting kids moving, building confidence and having fun in a safe, supportive environment,” said Council’s Acting Director Community, Corporate and Development, Nick Wilton.

“We’re pleased to be teaming up with local trainers to deliver a program that promotes health, connection and resilience during the colder months,” said Mr Wilton.

All classes will be held indoors, perfect for keeping warm while staying active with a focus on coordination, agility, endurance and teamwork, led by energetic and encouraging coaches.

In addition to the fitness program, Council’s Libraries will host a variety of creative workshops to keep imaginations flowing. From superhero adventures and beaded snowflakes to fairy door crafts, there’s something for every curious young person to enjoy, no matter the weather.

Families are encouraged to check the full timetable and book early, as spaces are limited.
