Love Where you Live These School Holidays and Win

To celebrate the Spring School Holidays school aged children who take a photo of themselves, family and friends having fun in places and spaces across the Snowy Valleys have the chance to win a $50 shopping voucher.

Snowy Valleys Council is giving away ten $50 local shopping vouchers to encourage local youth to get outside these school holidays and explore local places and spaces across the region.

Executive Director Community and Corporate Paul Holton said with covid travel restrictions still in place it was a great time for families to explore and enjoy what was available in their own back yard.

“Normally during school holidays Council partners with local groups and businesses to put on a range of activities to entertain the kids but with the uncertainty of changing covid health restrictions we have put all that on hold for now,” Mr Holton said.

“We also agreed that offering more online activities was not what everyone needs right now, so our Place Activation team came up with a photo competition to encourage the kids to get outside and show us what they love about the Snowy Valleys.

“A photo competition also allows us to support local businesses by offering snowy valleys shopping vouchers as prizes,” said Mr Holton.

To enter the competition children (with the help of their parents or guardians) just need to submit a photo showing how they’re loving the school holidays at their favourite local spots.

4. Go in the draw to win one of ten $50 Snowy Valleys Shopping Vouchers

The competition runs till the 3rd October 2021 and ten winners will be drawn at random.
