New Waste Truck Technology

Council’s waste collection trucks are now equipped with real-time data technology that takes waste management to the next level.

Cameras installed at the front, rear, bin grab and hopper offer valuable insights into our domestic waste challenges.

The high-tech fleet tracking and monitoring system will help to:

• Resolve customer issues quickly and effectively, for example when a bin is missed.
• Help monitor contamination incidents, allowing us to take proactive measures, just like with the recent discovery of used syringes in an organics load.
• Ensure employee safety on the job with Lone Worker Monitoring.
• Provide reports on service problems such as broken or overfull bins.
• Save valuable time! Our staff can now assess potential issues without leaving the office.
