Locals and keen walkers are invited to join Member for Riverina, the Hon Michael McCormack MP, and Snowy Valleys Council Mayor, Julia Ham, for Tumbatrek 2025.
Held on Saturday 8 February, this year Trekkers will enjoy a relaxed 12km walk through picturesque surroundings.
Community members can join the trek at a low cost of just $20 per adult and $10 per child, including morning tea, lunch and transport to and from the Tumbarumba Creekscape at Goldfields Park.
An iconic annual event, Tumbatrek provides an informal opportunity for community and government leaders to discuss issues in the region while experiencing the beautiful landscape of the Snowy Valleys region.
Community registrations are open until Wednesday 29 January 2025.
Numbers are limited so don’t delay.
Register via events.humanitix.com/tumbatrek-2025 or head to the Tumbarumba Visitor Information Centre.
Attendees are advised to bring sunscreen, a hat, water, and hand sanitiser with them on the day.
Tumbatrek was the original brainchild of the late Tim Fischer AC, former Deputy Prime Minister, who in 1985 along with a few keen locals wanted to promote tourism in the Tumbarumba region. It went into recess in 2007 and was resurrected in 2012 by Member for Riverina, Michael McCormack MP.
