Council is developing a masterplan for upgrades to Adelong’s Main Street, funded by the NSW Office of Local Government’s Severe Weather and Flood Grant. The masterplan will focus on improving drainage, safety, streetscape design and overall usability, and will support future grant applications to deliver construction works.
Following the appointment of a design consultant in November 2025, site visits and stakeholder consultation were held in December. Feedback has helped shape key priorities including drainage solutions, pedestrian safety, road layout, heritage character, planting, lighting and streetscape improvements.
The draft masterplan and concept design will be presented to the community in March, with a final design expected to be adopted by Council in mid-2026.
