The old single lane timber bridge will be replaced with a dual lane concrete structure comprising steel beams, and steel safety barriers.

The bridge on Wee Jasper Road (located between Brungle Creek Road and Red Hill Road) is on the tourist route from Tumut to Wee Jasper, with daily traffic volumes of 80 vehicles per day. The conversion to concrete from timber will double the capacity limit, greatly improving safety for all users and connectivity for Wyangle and Tumorrama residents.

Onsite bridge replacement works and scheduled to commence in March 2024 and works on road approaches will continue until June 2024, weather permitting.

Temporary road closures will be in place on Wee Jasper Road, signed detour routes will be established utilising Bombowlee Creek Road and Bilapaloola Road.
