The Project

This project will develop a concept design for a new water treatment plant in Khancoban

Built in the early 1960s as part of the Snowy Hydro Scheme, Khancoban's water supply system has surpassed its design life and is due for replacement. A new facility will enable Council to maintain reliable, high-quality water services for the community.

Project Budget

This project is funded through a $360,000 grant from the NSW Government's Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW), along with a contribution from Council.

Project Status

Concept designs are expected to be completed by June 2025. After completing the concept design, the project will progress to the detailed design phase, followed by construction.
