Riverglade Oval Amenities
- Project typeInfrastructure construction
- Project value$800,000.00
The project involves constructing a new building at the southern end of the existing car park, where the old storage room was located. It will feature home and away changerooms, each with showers, toilets, and ample changing space, along with separate female, male, and accessible toilets. The building will also include a kiosk, referee room, and storage space, with a roofed verandah overlooking the oval.
The existing facilities, which are outdated and no longer meet compliance standards, have been demolished to make way for the new building. These upgrades will provide Tumut with more space to host sporting events, easing congestion at other local fields and offering an improved facility for local teams to enjoy their favourite sports.
Funding
The project is funded by an $800,000 grant from the NSW Government's Round Five of the Stronger Country Communities Fund.
Project Update – September 2025
Construction of the new amenities is underway, with the framework and roofing complete. The internal fit out is underway and the facility is on to open in late November.
The old storage room was demolished to make way for the new building, and the outdated facilities located on top of the hill were also removed.
