The project involves constructing a new building at the southern end of the existing car park, where the current storage room is located. It will feature home and away changerooms, each with showers, toilets, and ample changing space, along with separate female, male, and accessible toilets. The building will also include a kiosk, referee room, and storage space, with a roofed verandah overlooking the oval.

The existing facilities, which are outdated and no longer meet compliance standards, will be demolished. These upgrades will provide Tumut with more space to host sporting events, easing congestion at other local fields and offering an improved facility for local teams to enjoy their favourite sports.

Funding

The project is funded by an $800,000 grant from the NSW Government's Round Five of the Stronger Country Communities Fund.

Project Update – March 2024

At the November 2024 Ordinary Council meeting, T Keenan Constructions Pty Ltd was engaged for the construction of an amenities building at Riverglade Oval.

Work commenced in February 2025, beginning with the demolition of the old storage room and outdated facilities on top of the hill. Construction of the new amenities will now get underway. A small section of the car park will be closed, but the playing field remains open. The project is expected to take six months to complete.
