Tumut District Community Transport

Overview

Tumut District Community Transport have been providing community transport in the region for over 30 years, whatever your travel needs they can assist.

Community Transport offers accessible transport services to the transport disadvantaged including but not restricted to people with disabilities and their carers, veterans, frail aged and Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) clients, living in the Snowy Valleys Region.

Travel

Trips are conducted as needs require. They provide transport for medical appointments, shopping, and recreation. Group transport for organisations can also be arranged.  Conditions apply.

Car Transport – available in/out of town on request

Please book three (3) days in advance of travel to ensure your seat

Please Note: When making medical appointments in Wagga, Canberra or Albury, please attempt to book appointments between 10.30am and 1.30pm. 

Prices

All destinations are set by service fee policy and per Km rate and are subject to change.

A general guide is:

  • Bus to Wagga return $15.00
  • Car to Wagga return $55.00

About Tumut District Community Transport (TDCT)

Tumut District Community transport is a local organisation funded by Transport for NSW and Dept. of Social Services to assist elderly, frail aged and transport disadvantaged residents in the Tumut District and surrounding areas. 

Referral: Referral can be made by: Yourself, My Aged Care, GP or a Family member.  

Facilities Note: CHSP (frail elderly should be referred by My Aged Care 1800 200 422 for ongoing support. All residents supported regardless.)

The service owned vehicle fleet have all the modifications to cater for all accessibility needs.

  • Five Honda Odyssey Station Wagons
  • A Bus is fitted with hoist and accommodates one wheelchair 
  • A Mini Bus, 10 and 11 seater buses are also available
