EOI - Old Pavers - Tumut CBD

Council is offering used pavers removed from the Tumut CBD upgrade to residents at no cost, for private use.

Each paver is approximately 230 x 110mm in size with a ripple edge. It is estimated that approximately 50 pavers would be required to cover 1 square metre. Pick up only from a Tumut location.  Pavers available until gone.  No holds.

Collection preference:

You will be allocated a 30-minute time slot on:

• 26 February from 8.00am to 12.00pm or 1.00pm to 3.00pm

• 27 February from 8.00am to 12.00pm or 1.00pm to 3.00pm

• 28 February from 10.00am to 1.30pm.

NB. Trailers are the preferred mode of collection. Trucks will be scheduled to the last time slot of the day, i.e. 3pm.  

Note: A typical 6x4 box trailer has a load limit of 750kg (combined weight of trailer (i.e. 250kg) and load (500kg). A 6X4 box trailer at load capacity will hold approx. 3 square metres of pavers.


1. Pavers come with no guarantee or warranty and cannot be returned.

2. Pavers are for private use only and are not for re-sale.

3. Pavers must be picked up during the allocated collection time (to be advised).

4. Pavers will need to be loaded by the applicant with no help from Council staff.

5. Trailers must not be overloaded, any damage to owner’s vehicle or trailer is at your own risk.

6. Council will not facilitate any deliveries.

7. Council will not be liable for any incorrect or misuse of the product.


EOI - Licence of Land at Tumut Aerodrome

Council is pleased to invite Expressions of Interest for the licence of land at Tumut Aerodrome on Wee Jasper Road, Bombowlee. 

Applications close at 5pm on Friday 26 February 2021.

An exciting opportunity exists for the licencing of land at the fast-developing Tumut Aerodrome. The subject land has been designated as a hangar area for licence and is currently vacant. Expressions of Interest for licence of the land are invited to enable the land to be better utilised and maintained.

The total area is approximately 374m2 and is available for aviation related activities. There are strict controls as to what the land can be utilised for to ensure safety at the aerodrome. Council is open to proposals in the Expression of Interest process for the management of this land with consideration of the aerodrome activities. All proposals will be evaluated based on their harmony with the existing aircraft activities at the site, the Tumut Aerodrome Masterplan and strategic planning, and land zoning.

Description of Property

Located on Wee Jasper Road near the junction with Brungle Road, Tumut Aerodrome is the largest aerodrome in the surrounding area and is also a popular fuelling point for travelling aircraft.

The subject site designated ‘Lot 8’ and is located within the industrial / commercial zone of the aerodrome, being located close to the secondary access gate off Wee Jasper Road and near the RFS airbase. Lot 8 enjoys easy access from Wee Jasper Road and wide-open areas of grassed land airside. The land is subject to restrictions, and development/erection of any structure will require Development Consent. The licence period is normally twenty-five (25) years but alternative periods may be considered.

Council reserves the right to accept or reject any expressions of interest at its discretion, and to discuss any matter and to deal with any parties submitting an expression of interest at any time before or after the closing date. This is an expression of interest only, after considering the submissions Council will either:

a) Accept the expression of interest that, having regard to all the circumstances, appears to it to be the most advantageous, or

b) Decline any of the expressions of interest.
