Free Tree Giveaway for National Tree Day

Council is proudly supporting the 2023 National Tree Day on Sunday 30 July by partnering with Mountain Landcare, Murrumbidgee Landcare and the newly established Khancoban Landcare to give away free trees to residents.

The local Landcare Nurseries will have trees and shrubs to give away to residents, community groups, and schools in celebration of the national day.

• Monday 24 to Friday 28 July, 8.30am to 4.30pm - Riverina Highlands Nursery, 5 Gocup Road, Tumut.

• Wednesday 26 July, 10.30am to 3.00pm - Street Stall Hut, The Parade, Tumbarumba.

• Friday 28 July, from 6.00pm – Alpine Inn, 1399 Alpine Way, Khancoban.

Established in 1996 by Planet Ark National Tree Day is celebrated on Sunday 30 July and is Australia's largest community tree planting and nature care event.
