Local Businesses Sought for Careers Expo

Local businesses, industries, and service providers are invited to be a part of the upcoming Snowy Valleys Careers Expo and Try a Trade Day.

Where: Tumbarumba Showground, The Parade, Tumbarumba
When: Wednesday 29th March 2023
Time: 10:00am to 2:00pm

The Expo provides the opportunity for businesses to engage in hands-on activities with local high school students, sharing the skills of their industry and answering pathway and employment questions.

Council is keen to attract local businesses, industries, and service providers as exhibitors to complement the range of regional, state, and government agencies already on board.

Around 200 local high school students from Year 9 through to Year 12 from Tumbarumba, Tumut, Batlow, and Gundagai are scheduled to attend on the day.

Council is partnering with the NSW Regional Industry Education Partnership (RIEP) to host the careers expo, following a successful inaugural event held in Tumut in 2022.
