Seniors from across the region enjoyed a fabulous day out last week at the 2024 Snowy Valleys Seniors Expo in Tumbarumba.

Around 180 seniors gathered at the Tumbarumba High School Multipurpose Centre to enjoy a scrumptious luncheon catered by Rosewood’s Gone Barney Cafe and be entertained with live music.

Tumbarumba High School students performed three fabulous musical numbers and the Australian Army Band Kapooka brought along their Jazz ensemble and Dixie band to wow the audience and get the place bopping.

Guests also had the opportunity to connect and network with more than 30 organisations and local services ready to help and support seniors living in the Snowy Valleys.

Feedback from attendees was extremely positive with people saying they enjoyed the great information, food, and entertainment and that the event was a great day out.

Snowy Valleys Council provided free return coach travel to ensure as many people as possible could attend easily.

Thanks to Uncle Craig from Ngarigo Toomaroombah Kunama Namadgi Indigenous Corporation for the Welcome to Country, Mayor Chaffey for his address, and to Master of Ceremonies Michelle Boyd.
